And in order to advance PragerU as America’s leading media company in the fight to save the country from the leftist revolution sweeping through its institutions, it intends to grow its executive team. PragerU seeks a Vice President of Major Gifts who is committed to the vision of educating the next generation to value the basic principles of freedom—life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. By assuming the responsibility of donor cultivation and strategy, the Vice President of Major Gifts will play a key role in furthering this vision for America by helping PragerU grow its revenue.
The Vice President of Major Gifts is a fully remote position with the option to work out of the Los Angeles, California or the Hollywood, Florida office, and reports directly to the Chief Development Officer. The salary for the position is commensurate with experience and between $250,000 to $400,000 total package, including bonuses.

THE ROLE OF THE VICE PRESIDENT OF MAJOR GIFTS + PRAGERU 2021 AND BEYOND
With aggressive growth since its inception, PragerU has expanded its fundraising efforts significantly year after year, especially with major donors ($25,000+). Amplifying this organizational feature, the Vice President of Major Gifts will manage a portfolio of prospective and current donors who are aligned with PragerU’s mission. He or she will also be an integral organizational leader as PragerU embarks upon its next decade of sustained success.
Primary Responsibilities Include
Donor Relations—create an annual plan, defining revenue and activity goals and monthly metrics for prospects giving at least $25K; steward, upgrade, and solicit six- and seven-figure level donors within the $100M-$1B+ wealth bracket across the country; work with executive leadership on short- and long-term individual strategic donor plans that include blended and multi-year gifts; integrate all areas of fundraising such as annual giving, special events, and planned giving.
Department Leader—contribute positively to the department’s culture; mentor and coach junior staff on successful stewardship and solicitation practices; provide support for the entire department to realize its annual fundraising goal; model professionalism and decorum regarding private donor information; support the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures; identify and promulgate new fundraising practices and legal considerations.
Strategic Standard-Bearer—establish and maintain external partnerships to enhance the mission; publicize PragerU’s programs and successes; advocate persuasively at special events and conferences for PragerU’s mission; consider public relations matters when representing the organization; serve as an exemplary advocate with strategic partners.

The Founding of PragerU
Dennis Prager was playing a game of hearts on a radio show cruise when Allen Estrin approached him with an idea. He said that they should start an online university, to undo the damage universities were inflicting on young minds. A brick-and- mortar university would take too much time and too much money. He said they needed to do something that would reach thousands of people, and they needed to act fast.
Allen wanted to get started right away by reaching young people on the internet. Specifically, those who did not listen to conservative talk radio. “Our classroom could be the size of the internet,” he said. At first Dennis thought he was joking or exaggerating. But Allen was his friend of more than 30 years. Dennis didn’t think Allen had told one joke during their entire friendship. So Dennis said, “Go ahead,” and he continued his game of hearts.
A few months later, Allen and Dennis met Marissa Streit through a mutual friend. They both agreed that her background, passion, and fearlessness would make her the ideal CEO to lead this enterprise. Ten years later, PragerU has 70 staff members, hundreds of thousands of donors, millions of subscribers, and multiple billions of views per year.
