Mission ONE seeks a head giving advisor to create a fundraising strategy and build a fundraising team to support its mission and growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mission ONE’s work is increasing rapidly and with it our fundraising capacity. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to lead us as we expand our fundraising program and increase staff. The primary responsibility of the head giving advisor is to develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that will capitalize on the momentum that already exists among our donor base. The position will interact closely with Mission ONE leaders, board members, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build a team with a healthy fundraising culture. Likewise, the head giving advisor will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of key performance indicators, return on fundraising staff investment, and donor relations.

This position is located at Mission ONE’s office in Downtown Phoenix, AZ, and reports directly to the president.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and maintain all fundraising programs that include events, database management, donor reporting and communications, direct mail, foundation relationships, church relationships, and major donors. (65% of the time)
  • Develop Mission ONE’s strategic three-year fundraising plan with outlined objective, goals, and tasks. (10% of the time)
  • Maintain and cultivate a personal caseload of major donors. (25% of the time)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Align strongly with our mission and have a passion for the Global Church and strengthening the Kingdom of God in all parts of the world;
  • Possess at least 3 years of fundraising experience;
  • Be proficient in fundraising databases and moves-management;
  • Exhibit strong organizational and management skills;
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships quickly;
  • Able to take initiative, driving decision making, and be achievement-oriented;
  • Possess analytical skills to inform strategy and tactical decisions; and
  • Have an appreciation for other cultures and love of learning.
