Director of Development

The Writing Revolution - New York City, NY

About the Organization

The Writing Revolution (TWR) is a nonprofit organization supporting the adoption of proven strategies that enable students to improve their writing skills, elevate their critical thinking, and become better readers. By providing training, tools, resources, and feedback, we help teachers and leaders in underserved schools implement The Hochman Method, an evidence-based model for teaching writing in all subjects and grades. TWR believes every student deserves an education that is inclusive to mitigate the systemic inequities in education. In the U.S., only 27% of 12 th graders performed at grade level in writing—The Hochman Method has proven to be incredibly successful at retooling education in all subject areas by focusing on literacy, thereby addressing the national crisis in writing. Since its inception in 2014, TWR has trained more than 5,000 educators and reached over 150,000 students. Learn more about TWR at https://www.thewritingrevolution.org.
