The Director of Advancement will be responsible for managing up to the CEO and coordinating the organization’s development activities with existing programming. The Director of Advancement will be responsible for overseeing a diverse caseload and a robust fundraising plan, ensuring that objectives are met, and each team member’s responsibilities are fulfilled. The Director of Advancement will play a key role in building important individual and foundation relationships. The Director of Advancement will be expected to travel for in-person donor meetings, as well as to attend events and represent Teneo and its mission.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in high-level fundraising and knowledge of task management. The success of this role will be directly measured by the confidence entrusted upon this person by the CEO, and the role will focus heavily upon helping the CEO to be more efficient with his time related to fundraising. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in a similar role and a track record of success. While not required, an advanced degree would be a plus for this position. The Director of Advancement is responsible for creating a healthy and robust fundraising culture at Teneo, and supporting the team in their efforts to advance the mission of Teneo by inviting and enabling financial partners to join in that mission.

Qualifications, Competencies, and Strengths
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred, though not necessary.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a business and/or experience in high-level fundraising
