Liz Palla


Liz Palla works with donors and nonprofit organizations around the country on projects including strategic planning, assessment, philanthropy advising, and a range of services to help strengthen and grow nonprofits. She also leads the firm’s donor services consulting group and its Center for Civil Society, and helps with the firm’s day-to-day operations, serving as the lead partner overseeing company systems, hiring, and consulting support departments.

Before joining American Philanthropic, Liz served as senior program officer at the William E. Simon Foundation in New York, where she helped review and make recommendations on funding proposals, evaluate organizational effectiveness, and maintain foundation operations. Prior to her time at the Simon Foundation, Liz worked at a nonprofit dedicated to supporting independent college newspapers on campuses around the country. She graduated from Gonzaga University, where she studied foreign languages, literature, and philosophy.

Liz and her husband live in Montana, and have four children. Liz serves on several local boards and board committees including the Heisey Community Center, Great Falls Catholic Schools, and Family Promise.
