Nate Washatka

Foundation Relations Officer - Cincinnati Children’s Hospital

Nate Washatka is a Foundation Relations Officer in the Department of Development at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. In his six years at Cincinnati Children’s, Nate has worked both as a fundraiser and as a project manager for a public health program. He has written grant applications, donor publications, stewardship reports, major gift appeals, and online copy for a variety of campaigns.

Prior to working at Cincinnati Children’s, Nate served as an Americorps volunteer at Santa Maria Community Services, a small social services agency in Cincinnati’s Price Hill neighborhood. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish at Cedarville University and holds an MFA in creative writing from Johns Hopkins University. His writing has appeared in Philanthropy Daily, the Hopkins Review, and Front Porch Republic.

He lives with his wife and two daughters in Cincinnati, where he also serves on the council of his church, Cincinnati Mennonite Fellowship.
