Esther Plaster

Client Engagement Associate

Esther Kay Plaster is Client Engagement Associate for American Philanthropic.  Prior to joining American Philanthropic, in addition to being a mother of four, she spent over 15 years as an active member of several nonprofit, civic, and political associations, both as a volunteer and in leadership.  She is a graduate of the Witherspoon Fellowship at the Family Research Council. She has worked with the Center for Public Justice, specifically with the Pew Civitas Program on Faith and Public Affairs, the Republican Majority Issues Committee, Young Life, Arlington Women’s Republican Club, elementary school PTA, and numerous political campaigns.  For the last several years, Esther has worked for a nationally recognized high-end retail clothing brand, as a top sales performer, focusing on customer service and boutique personalized experience.

She has supported several philanthropic efforts including Longwood Gardens, Tudor Place, and Happy Life Children’s Home, an orphanage in Kenya, which offers a children’s hospital named after Esther’s brother, Jesse.

Esther is passionate about the institutions that make up the fabric of society.  She works to help nonprofit clients tell their story, and she helps donors to discover opportunities to give back.

Esther holds an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland and an undergraduate degree in Government from Liberty University. Esther and her family live on an historic farm property, in horse country, very near the Chesapeake Bay and Washington D.C. She loves the water and her hunting dogs, Bravo and Zulu.
