CARL HELSTROM

DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL EDUCATION

As the Director of Digital Education, Carl Helstrom focuses on building systems for sharing knowledge within organizations. Key to his responsibilities is selecting and implementing learning platforms, through which he produces and disseminates educational materials both for American Philanthropic and, through the Center for Civil Society, for our partners and collaborators.

He previously served as AmPhil’s Director of Research, where he oversaw the company’s donor research and data appending services. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan, and now lives with his wife in Knoxville, Tennessee. In his free time, he cooks elaborate meals and listens to audiobooks on obscure periods of history.
