Philanthropist Calls Donor Intent "a powerful tool"

In a recent OpEd piece, William E. Simon, Jr. writes that "freedom of choice encourages mission, focus and creativity thereby benefiting thousands upon thousand of worthy causes." He further comments: "Donors thrive when they specialize, when they focus their resources and develop an expertise in achieving a particular set of charitable objectives."
